Recovering the Linux shadow password file:

Follow below steps to recover the linux password

1. Reboot Server or Turn On Machine
2. Select Recovery Mode for the version of kernel that you wish to boot
3. Add init=/bin/bash to the end of the kernel command line
4. Boot The Kernel
5. Remount / with mount -rw -o remount
6. Run pwconv
7. Run passwd to set root password
8. Run sync to flush filesystem buffers
9. Reboot 

You will need to set security on the rest of the accounts without passwords.
